verbrook Management was founded in 1946 by the late Frank Altschul, managing partner of Lazard Frères and founder of General American Investors (NYSE Symbol: GAM), to manage the wealth of the Altschul family.

Simultaneously, Frank and his wife Helen (née Helen Lehman Goodhart) formed The Overbrook Foundation to manage the family’s philanthropy and to execute the family’s stated mission to advance the well-being of individuals throughout the world.

While the two entities remain closely involved in extending the legacy and values of the Altschul family, Overbrook Management has evolved into a private wealth advisory firm dedicated to advancing the well-being of our clients and to extending their respective philanthropic missions globally.
